Love both of them, but i'll go Mars Volta, such a great live experience.

wish i was around to see the MC5 kickin' out the jams back in the late 60's.

got this album spatchy? high times - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vyf0yiyhito

I haven't heard of MC5 but a brief lookup gives me the strong opinion that they're another pretentious, talentless "anti-establishment" punk-shit band. i quite enjoy some of the noises coming from Mars Volta though, so I'll vote them.

I have a few of their tracks on a punk compilation I have which I listen to quite a bit, but I never got round to giving the full albums a listen.

MC5. Mars Volta can sometimes come off as a bit fret-wank happy.

I like his ...'they're another pretentions, talentless "anti-establishment" punk-shit band'. They helped invent that cliche!
